The Hammer Lane
Why do people insist on “cruising” in the left-hand lane? This lane is designated as a passing lane only. Read your California Driver’s Manual. It’s in there. At least, if you have to cruise in the hammer lane, put your blinker on and roll into the lane to your right when someone is approaching from behind you. This cuts down on traffic accidents caused by faster traveling automobiles in the right-side lanes. These lanes are for slower traffic - not faster. Passing should only occur on the left. I’m sure you have seen the signs, “No passing on the right” haven’t you?
